Nintendo doesn’t play by anyone else’s rules—and that’s exactly why they win. A masterclass in flipping challenges into gold. Curious how they keep crushing it?

Few highlights:

  • Nintendo is a unique example of a company that balance between advanced creativity and traditional Japanese conservative approach (and they did make iconic mistakes along the way).

  • Next console (aka. Switch2) will keep using the recipe for success of the current Switch, just stronger and better. But sooner or later, few years from today, they will need to bring something new again, and it will be harder.

  • They are not directly willing to play against Microsoft Xbox or Sony Playstation. They are doing their own thing. They don’t want to end up like Sega…

  • IP exploration, with more theme parks, movies, and merchandise are now on full speed. But do they want to become an IP company like Disney?
